A The family members had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges of possession of a controlled drug and for keeping ammunition without granted a gun license. About 40 grams of cannabis were found inside a room, which was occupied by Kenrick Danderson while eight rounds of 9mm ammunition were found inside a room occupied by Hakeem O’Brien. On advice of their attorney, they took ownership and luckily for them, things played out in their favor. Danderson was fined $1,000 despite his previous drug convictions. He has until July 31, 2018 to pay in default of a year in prison. O’Brien was ordered to pay a fine of $250 in default of three months’ imprisonment. The charges were withdrawn from the others since Danderson and O’Brien took ownership of the drugs and ammunition. |
